Mission Statement:  Through continuous training and public education, the members of this department will be ever ready to protect the citizens in our community from the tragedy of fire and provide them with quality Emergency Medical Services.

Burn permits are required for open burning.  You can pick up your free burn permit at the fire station on Tuesday evenings between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. or by appointment.

Address signs are available for $12.00 each, which includes the digits. 
     

Free smoke detectors and batteries are available to Montville residents.  Limit one of each per household.

Accepting Applications

The fire department is accepting applications for Cadets, Firefighters and EMT's.  We provide basic training.  Interested candidates can stop by the station on Tuesday evenings after 6:30 p.m. for an application.

Road Trip Tips

  1. Take an extra key.
  2. Back up your navigation unit with a good road map.
  3. Check critical components before leaving - tires, belts and hoses.
  4. Stay alert - stop often and alternate drivers.
  5. Know and follow traffic laws.
